2020 APA Dem Caucus Endorsement Meeting Highlights

2020 began auspiciously with our primary endorsement in-person meeting in January.  A record-breaking 69 candidates participated. A total of 18 were endorsed for seats on the County board of supervisors, board of education, superior court and central committee. Then the pandemic hit and we went virtual. 

In September for the general election, we broke a new record with 116 candidates participating.  We held three general election endorsement meetings, adding an East County meeting to our existing South and North County meetings. 

Special thanks to Andy Kelley who Zoom moderated our meetings, and members Phong La, Shawn Kumagai, Jennifer Ong, Suzanne Lee Chan, Sheng Thao, Julie Yim, Marilyn Ng, and Lena Tam for the live interviews with the mayoral and city council candidates and/or serving on our endorsement committee.  Behind the curtain, our staff Jasmine Danh kept track of candidates and voting members.
